Giving back to the community that gives us so much is an important tenet to our family and business.

We chose to live in Wenatchee not only because of the surrounding beauty and outdoor recreation, but the people.  As Wenatchee grows it retains its community closeness.  The people here are generous and compassionate.

Grinnin Meadows Fresh and our family just want to help those with less be able to enjoy more.

Thank you for helping us support a few of the worthy causes in our community.

WA Elementary School Literacy Library

As ALL of Freya and Taggart's kin tend toward the bibliophilia, they continue to be book rich.  For many kids, the only books they have access to are at school.  Literacy spcecialist help kiddos who struggle with literacy......which is often a matter of exposure.  We'd like to help out the literacy library at Freya's elementary school.  So.....for  January - June 2012 we will be Giving Back to the WA Elementary School Literacy Library.

YMCA

The kiddos & I discussed what organization we want to pick for our next 'Giving Back'.  We've decided on the YMCA.  As  Freya and Taggart have opportunities to play in the woods, camp, swim, hang out with friends, ski, hike, and many more physicial activities there are some that don't have these opportunities readily available.  The YMCA is a great program that doesn't turn any kid away because they can't pay.  However, they still have to be able to keep programs going.  So, for the next 6 months we are going to save 10% of our gross sales to give to the YMCA for scholarship money for those kiddos unable to afford a membership.

PAC

As part of the Festival of Trees, GMF annually participates in the Mini-Tree & Wreaths event. Decorations are made from forest products found on our property with a little bit of pizazz added with glitter and glue.

The Festival of Trees is the largest fundraising effort of the year for our local Performing Arts Center.  Our family has been enjoying their Children's Series events for years.  They provide a wonderful introduction to theater, dance and music.
